This lovingly made orgy of horror clich\u00e9s with its flying saucers, celebrity vampires and white nightie maiden in a field is good gory fun. The \u2018overhead shot\u2019 of the \u2018cultivated\u2019 rows of carpet weave is almost as delicious as the flapping bats on strings and, yes, you\u2019re meant to see the strings. If that bothers you, then it\u2019s not your cup of tea. The whole point is to literally overkill, even if the black and white decision to enable the retro look has removed the intensity of the blood being freely spilt. The art department and the sound designer clearly had a ball. Some nice lines: \u201cWhen I was ten, vampires exploded my mum.\u201d; \u201cYou can\u2019t shoot people just because they have a white face.\u201d; \u201cYou plan to suck this man?\u201d\u2014\u201cI plan to suck him dry.\u201d; \u201cPunctured neck and jugular, yet the heart still ticks.\u201d This last is spoken by the coroner, who (spoiler alert) is promptly eaten. <\/span>The half-man vampire (literally cut in half at the torso) is pretty awesome too. Great date movie to find out if he\/she\/it has a sense of fun. Alas, no Thai subtitles but the visual monstrosities make it easy enough to follow. <\/span><\/p>\n.<\/i><\/p>\n
