Amazing Stoner Movie Contest 2020
Siam is the land of the hallowed Thai Sticks. But there are no Cheech and Chong, no Harold and Kumar in Thai cinema. Let’s set right this travesty with the Amazing Stoner Movie Contest at Cinema Oasis.
The contest is wide open to all types of film: fiction & non-fiction, full-length features & shorts, documentary & video art. Though we are on a nominal quest for Thai stoner movies, the contest is not limited to Thai filmmakers. You can be nonsensical, poetic, real, or make a serious film to argue for or against the wave of legalization sweeping across the world. Anything goes so long as it’s good cinema.

The Golden Ganja award + 30,000 baht cash (1,000 usd)
The Crystal Bong + 5,000 baht cash (200 usd)

Selected films will be screened at the Amazing Stoner Movie Contest August 8-11 when the winners will be announced. To avoid dealing with the censors, the screenings are for Cinema Oasis friends & members only, but no need to be a member to submit a film.

Technical Information
Screening Format : MP4 / Bluray / DVD / DCP/most other files, but sadly no 16 or 35mm film
Entry Fee: 500 baht/ 1 film
No need for an application form, but please include all practical information (filmmaker’s name, film title, length, format, contact info, brief synopsis).
