This Danish film noir made during German occupation of Denmark during World War II is another surreal trip curated by the amazing Gary Vanissian.

Demonic possession & explicit exorcism are a dime a cinematic dozen. But to be haunted not by a ghostly but human fiend—an old love who refuses to let go; who continues, through hypnotism, to take over your mind—this is surely another level of intensity. Mesmerising, with its chilling dialogue, vampire-like longing—“Your neck is still so white…”, and strange shapes and eerie movements evocative of Tod Browning’s ‘Dracula’ of 1931. (Alice Skinhead)
